Saturday 12th July 2003Harbertonford (near Totnes) South Hams, South Devon,, England MAP
around £3 on the gate
Fordstock has been going for about 8 years. It is a small friendly music festival held in the village of Harbertonford (between Totnes and Kingsbridge in South Devon)generating money for local community projects.
With music from 1pm till late, this year there are two stages: the Main Stage and an Acoustic Stage.
Most of the performances are sourced from local talent and this year the line-up on the Main Stage is as follows: the Totnes Jazz Collective; Backlash; Scott Free; Jerry Cahill; The Seven Cent Solution; Becky Brine with the Jeff Lowe band; Adrenalin; Dayglow; Cat in the Hat; UV React; and Hombres.
On the Acoustic Stage you can hear music from Sharky and the Fishermen; Panacea; Indigo; the Totnes Jazz Collective (again); John Elliott; Dubb Terranea; and Meekie Rosie.
There are also performances from local schools on the Main stage, theatre, dance, food, a full bar, and stalls.
Last year there were over 2000 visitors and the organisers expect a similar turnout this year.
Parking can take time as access is not straightforward on narrow Devon roads in a small village. It is advised that people try to share cars or at least be patient.
