Fishstock Brixham 2010

Fishstock Brixham is a festival that combines music and seafood. The one-day-event held on Saturday September 11th 2010 from 11am to 11pm hopes to raise much-needed funds for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.

After a break during the multi-million pound Torbay Council investment and building project at the Fish Market and quayside, the 2010 event follows the pattern of the successful inauguration in 2008. The event will have two stages and the music line-up has not yet been confirmed for 2010.

Line-up

Main Stage: Eden, Beats of Polynesia: South Sea Dance and Drums (First performance), Mad Dog McCrea, The Normals, M.I.U., Crowley's Tears, Kalash: ATS Bellydancers, Ian Bruce, Rachel Jones Quartet, Livin' in a Valve State, and Jiggerypipery.
Cabaret Stage: Southern Comfort, Maggie Duffy and Mike Weed, Temporary Mind Band, Hobson's Choice, Dave Styles, Ian Hunt, Dave Johnson, and more.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £5 per adult (under 15's are free, provided they are accompanied by a fee paying adult). Tickets on sale now at Gundry Marine (opposite the old fish quay, Brixham), Tides Restaurant, The Quayside Hotel and Restaurant and of course, Brixham Fishermen's Mission. Tickets also available on the day at the entry gate.

The event is timed to coincide with 'National Seafood Fortnight'. There will be recipes of local seafood cooked by expert and celebrity chefs whilst local musicians and artists provide the entertainment.

There will also be local food and drink producers, display stands, information about the marine environment, fishing activity and maritime safety etc.

Fundraiser

This is a fundraiser for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.
