Ely Folk Festival 2012


The Folk Weekend, now in its 27th year, is based on a single site which includes marquees, camping facilities, food stalls, trade stands, real-ale bar, real toilets, showers, children's entertainment plus Morris displays and pub sessions during the day in Ely City centre.

This is a small, friendly festival happening from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th July 2012, where artists play meet and greet 'unplugged' sessions, there is also a real ale bar, trade stalls, numerous concerts, dances, displays, sessions, ceilidhs and children's entertainment plus a programme of workshops.

Show of Hands, Breabach, Jez Lowe & the Big Bad Pennies, Ewan McLennan, Lady Maisery, Richard Digance, Pilgrims' Way, Nancy Kerr & James Fagan, Local Bands Showcase, Fendragon, Steamchicken, Anthony John Clarke, Elvis Fontenot & the Sugar Bees, Dave Kelly, Monroe's Revenge, Fran McGillivray & Mike Burke, Jess Morgan, The Willows, Sound Tradition, Frog on a Bike, The Blues Band, Mrs Ackroyd, Broom Bezzums, Liz Simcock Band, Rosie Hodgson, TwoManTing, and Pagan Molly.

Accommodation

There is ample space for tents and caravans on site, and free parking is provided close to the festival site. There are also plenty of alternative accommodation available in Ely. Ely city centre is easily accessible by the organised shuttle bus (or 20 minutes walk).

Tickets

The early bird offer has ended. A weekend adult ticket s priced at £68 (£49 concessions); kids tickets for those aged 10-17 yrs are £20. Camping is priced at £10, or £5 for kids, each camping is charged per person whether it's a tent, or in a campervan or a caravan. All day Saturday tickets priced at £34, and Sunday night only priced at £27. All day Sunday tickets priced at £29, and Sunday night only priced at £20.
