Cheltenham Folk Festival 2005
Friday 11th to Sunday 13th February 2005Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL50 1QA, England MAP
W/e tickets: £49 before 1st January 2005 and after for £55. Concessions available.
Now in it's 9th year, the festival presents both national and local artistes. As well as song & dance there are also workshops, children's events, indoor camping and real ale.
This year's line-up includes:
Eliza Carthy Band; Sharon Shannon Band; BELLOWhead; Bob Fox and Stu Luckley; Crucible; Equation; Flook; The Fraser Sisters; Jez Lowe and the Bad Pennies; Threlfall, Ellison, Edwards; Moor Music and many more.
Most of the events take place in the Edwardian Town Hall. Workshops, etc. happen throughout the event, as well as a small market selling clothes, books, arts and crafts, musical instruments and CDs and cassettes of festival artistes and others.
Food includes vegetarian dishes, and there are real ales too. The town centre and all-day car parks are within a few minutes walk.
Accommodation
Indoor camping is available. (NOTE - we're not sure if this is included in the price - ask when phoning about tickets!)
B&Bs - there are plenty of these within walking distance of the Town Hall.
