Nottingham has lots of music events this summer. The community-orientated Nottingham Live Music festival features a series of events with Nottingham bands, designed to help local artists and musicians achieve some recognition and to benefit the local community as a whole, whilst also highlighting important ecological issues.
18th June - funky indie rock: with Wholesome Fish, Left of the Dealer and Fat Digester.
9th July - Hip Hop: with Skinny Sumo, Alligator, Louis Cypher, Lost Project, and Pete Firstblood.
30th July - Funky Punky Dance: with Idiot Joy, Old Basford, Grain, and Porcelain Dolls.
20th August - Roots Reggae: with Percy Dread from the Naturalites, Dub Judah from the Twinkle Brothers and Evron Johnson (tbc).
GETTING THERE:
The Aboretum Park is situated just 10 minutes walk from the Royal Centre just off Waverley Street. Festival goers can hop on the tram direct to The Arboretum and alight at the Nottingham High School tram stop.
