IDLES, and Happy Mondays have been announced as headliners for Creation Day Festival the new two day music festival in Wolverhampton celebrating the legendary Creation Records and its visionary founder, Alan McGee, which will take place in West Park on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May 2022 (following it's postponement in 2021). Shaun Ryder is confirmed to be performing two sets over the weekend. In what will be a festival first for the Happy Mondays/Black Grape main-man.

IDLES headline the opening day with support from Echo and the Bunnymen, Cast, Glasvegas, Echobelly, Shambolics, The Clockworks, and The Illicits.

Sunday's headliners Happy Mondays top a line-up including Friendly Fires, Ash, Black Grape, Sleeper, The Wedding Present, Grandmas House, Cat SFX, and Marquis Drive.

peaking about the inaugural Utilita Creation Day Festival, Alan McGee said: "I'm very pleased to be asked again by the City of Wolverhampton Council & Toura Toura Festivals to curate the Utilita Creation Day Festival 2022. It's great to see that most of the bands that missed out on playing due to covid restrictions this year, have all agreed to come back and play in 2022 with the fantastic addition of IDLES."
