The NME, (here), are reporting that Glastonbury Festival's planned September special concerts to be held over two days will not now go ahead, with organisers focusing instead on the site’s ‘Worthy Pastures’ camping site.

Emily Eavis is quoted as saying: "We've decided not to go ahead with the September gig idea for a number of reasons, so we’re putting all of our energy into the campsite for now!" Adding: "See you in a few days."

As previously announced the event had got it's licence to happen on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th September 2021 at Worthy Farm, Pilton with live acts appearing only on the iconic Pyramid Stage for 40,000 public ticket holders each day.

Instead the farm owners will now concentrate Worthy Pastures – a family-friendly rural getaway which will welcome guests to get back to basics in nature, with a range of pre-erected, unfurnished bell tents and scout tents or campervan pitches available to hire for 3-, 4- and 5-night stays, but is a totally different licensed event.
