Glastonbury Festival put in licence for concert in September

Glastonbury Festival organiser Emily Eavis has announced that they "have put an application in for a licence for a concert at the farm in September. Of course, we’ve no idea yet whether we’ll able to do that, but we wanted to get the application in to be in with a chance. Unlikely we’ll have any news for a couple of months – but will let you know right here when we do.”

The license includes a request for an event over two consecutive days, including live music, recorded music, films, sale and supply of alcohol by Glastonbury Festival Events Ltd at the festival's site of Worthy Farm, Pilton

It is anticipated this will be heavily scaled down from the 200,000 capacity of the main Glastonbury Festival, which has had 2020 and 2021 cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
