New for 2020, York Festival will take place from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st June 2020 at York Sports Club in North Yorkshire, the home of York RUFC, York Cricket Club, York Tennis Club and York Squash Club.
The line-up is as follows:-
Fri 19th June Madness, Lightning Seeds, Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, Apollo Junction, Violet Contours.
Sat 20th June Westlife, Howard Donald (DJ set), All Saints, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Scouting For Girls.
Sun 21st June: Lionel Richie.
Peter Taylor of promoters Cuffe and Taylor said: "This is the very first York Festival so we wanted to make this a very special debut year. To have Lionel Richie, Westlife and Madness as headliners – alongside many other brilliant chart-topping artists – is a real coup. We feel this is the perfect line-up for the first year of what we hope will become a major annual event in this wonderful and historic city. We cannot wait for Friday June 19th and opening night. This really is going to be a weekend to remember!"
Tickets are on sale, priced at £129 for all three days. Day tickets go on sale at 9am on Thursday 28th November.
