A huge number of acts have been announced for Sidmouth Folk Week, which is eight days filled with folk music, singing, dancing, pub sessions, concerts, and cream teas, focused in the centre of Sidmouth, Devon and on the sea front from Friday 3rd to Friday 10th August 2018.

Leading the names are Fairport Convention, The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain, Eliza Carthy and The Wayward Band, Show of Hands with Miranda Sykes, Cara Dillon, Karine Polwart, Kathryn Tickell & The Darkening, Blowzabella, McCusker/Drever/Woomble, John Doyle, Gigspanner Big Band, False Lights,and Elephant Sessions.

And there's Gordie Mackeeman and His Rhythm Kings, Alistair Anderson & Northlands, Steve Tilston and Jez Lowe, Stick in the Wheel, Edgelarks, The Rheingans Sisters, Kaia Kater, Blackbeard's Tea Party, Police Dog Hogan, Les Barker, Peter Knight & John Spiers, Ye Vagabonds, Pete Coe, Narthen, John Kirkpatrick, The Emily Askew Band, Greg Russell & Ciaran Algar, Naomi Bedford, and Sandra Kerr.

There's also Ryan Young with Jenn Butterworth, Magpie Lane, Josie Duncan & Pablo Lafuente, National Youth Folk Ensemble, Debs Newbold, Jim Causley, Will Pound's Through The Seasons, Patrick Ryan, Nick Dow, Paul Downes & Friends, Georgia Lewis, Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne, Tim Jones & The Dark Lanterns, Rock Of Eye, Jack Rutter, and Out of Hand.
