Lightning Seeds, The Rifles, and The Slow Readers Club for Yorfest

Lightning Seeds, The Rifles, and The Slow Readers Club lead the acts confirmed for Yorfest which returns for a second year to offer two stages of music, a vintage fair, street food and micro ale festival on one big day out at York Racecourse, Knavesmire, in York on Saturday 24th September 2016.

Yorfest will have two stages and over 24 live acts performing during the day from noon. Other names on the line-up include Glass Caves, The Jade Assembly, Stray Scene, Late Night Legacy, The Leathernecks, Lost Trends, Black Lagoons, Naked Six, Moth Loves The Flame, Twinnie Lee Moore, Kat McHugh, Robbie Page, Sam Wright, Becca Clarke, Jack Parker, Chloe Conroy, and Danny Macaw.

Si Roe, the festival's Event manager said, "After our first festival where people enjoyed the great acts and bands basking in the sunshine, we’re pleased to say, we’re back! We’ve only gone and secured Lightning Seeds and The Rifles."

Tickets are £20 for adults and over 16’s, £10 for under 16’s and those under 10 are FREE with a full paying adult.

As Racecourse Road will be closed to Festival traffic, All vehicular traffic will only be able to drop off and pick up at the 'kidney' island near to Knavesmire Road.

Yorfest will be supporting two charities - St Leonard’s Hospice, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in 2016.

As well as the music there will be locally sourced food available, and local real ale, as well as two on-site bars.
