The Neville Staple Band, Rusty Shackle, 9 Bach, Nizlopi, The Cadbury Sisters, Mad Dog Mcrea, Zervas and Pepper, Rogora Khart, Clyde Jefferson, Fingertrap, Eric Unseen, Junior Bill & The Scallies, Meg Cox, The Bleedin' Noses, Russell Swallow & The Wolf, Railroad Bill, Maharaja Blues, Shimai, Maddie Jones, Hipicat, Jason Baxter have been announced for The Castle Sessions presented by the team responsible for one of the oldest features of Glastonbury festival - The Croissant Neuf Solar Powered Venue which is the centrepiece of the Green Fields.
The event, takes place at Caldicot Castle, in Chepstow, Monmouthshire on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September 2015.
A statement from organisers says, "The fabulous Croissant Neuf team have been busy beavering away in the background and have teamed up with Monmouthshire Council and some of the best musicians and entertainers around to bring you a feast of delights in the fabulous surroundings of a 1,000 year old castle!
The perfect way to round off your summer – a Friday night of folk filled delights and a full programme on Saturday with our famously eclectic line up of great bands, circus fun, fire and lights. Put this together with 2 nights camping in beautiful ancient parkland and you’ve just about got the best end of season party there is…
We see Croissant Neuf as proof you can have buckets of fun while being sensitive to the environment around us and retaining green principles at our core. This year will be no different – Locally sourced food and drinks including organic and local ales & ciders will be served up to tempt your taste buds and once again there will be no noisy, diesel guzzling generators with the whole gig running on super silent mains electricity backed up by our famous solar and battery power.
There’s something for everyone with our deliciously eclectic line-up, and our usual abundance of circus fun, crafts, workshops, family games, therapies and activities will be sprinkled over the beautiful site of Caldicot Castle & Country Park, Monmouthshire.
Given the fabulous location, it seems fitting that our theme of Medieval Merriment continues this year, so think Kings, Queens, rat-catchers, Knights, damsels, wenches, chivalry, and all things olde worlde. Dress up as much as you want and look out for a few Medieval surprises from Croissant Neuf HQ!"
The perfect end to your festival season – a Friday night folk line up, a full day of music, fun, circus and merriment on Saturday and 2 nights camping thrown in for the price of £45, or £22.50 for a child aged (6 to 15 years), and a campervan pass is priced at £10.
As well as music expect circus fun and games, local food and drink, real ales and cider and camping.
