exclusive: first wave of comedy acts announced for Wychwood Festival

We can exclusively reveal the first acts for the comedy line-up in association with eFestivals.co.uk at this summer's Wychwood Festival.

Taking to the taking to the comedy stage over the weekend of Friday 31st May until Sunday 2nd June will be Rob Deering (pictured), Kelly Kingham, Jon Wagstaffe, Christian Steel, Sol Bernstein, and Nick Page.

There's also some more musical acts confirmed with Rachel Sermanni, Paper Aeroplanes, The Brickwork Lizards, and Steve Gifford added to the line-up on Friday.

David Gedge brings his '80s indie rockers The Wedding Present to Wychwood's main stage on Saturday alongside Big Top line-up addition Hannah McIntyre.

Edinburgh based indie band Bwani Junction lead the Sunday additions of Rebecca De Winter, Gaz Brookfield, Of Rust And Bone, and Roo Panes.

Friday headliner Soul II Soul, Saturday headliners The Human League, Dreadzone and comic Bill Bailey close the festival on Sunday. Also entertaining the crowds are Lucy Rose, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Caravan Palace, Kate Nash, Craig Charles, Police Dog Hogan, The Beat, John Otway, Sam Lee, Eddie and The Hot Rods, Moulettes, Public Service Broadcasting, The Other Tribe, Polarsets, Cave Painting, The History of Apple Pie, Mt. Wolf, Dems, NewQuay Times, Emily And The Woods, Seasfire, Eliza and the Bear, Shields, Clement Marfo & the Frontline, and more.

Authors and illustrators include Caryl Hart, Jenny Smith, Petr Horacek, Chris Edge, Karen Langtree, Gemma Hastilow, Shoo Rayner, John Dougherty, Philip Ardagh and Tony de Saulles. Also at Wychwood over the weekend will be CBeebies' Mr Bloom, Talking Horses, Spot the Dog, Winnie the Witch, Kipper and other kids' favourite characters.

Wychwood have still got a number of other slots to fill plus all the eFestivals comedy and the BBC Introducing.

The family-friendly, intimate and inclusive festival which offers a blend of world, roots and contemporary music, alongside comedy, workshops, and more aims to build on the success of the first eight years, and will return to Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucestershire from Friday 31st May until Sunday 2nd June 2013.

An adult weekend tickets are priced at £120, weekend disabled (2 for 1) tickets are priced at £120, and 10-15 year old weekend tickets are priced at £55. Children aged under 9 years old can attend for free.

General camping passes (charged per person) for an adult weekend/disabled camping ticket for £20, a weekend youth/concession camping pass is priced at £10, with those aged under 16s able to camp with grown ups for free. A campervan pass is priced at £35.

Friday adult day tickets are priced at £37, a Friday youth/concession day ticket is priced at £24. Saturday adult day tickets are priced at £53, and a Saturday youth/concession day ticket is priced at £40. Whilst a Sunday adult day ticket is priced at £43, and a Sunday youth/concession day ticket is priced at £20.

A child (aged 10-15 years) day ticket is priced at £20 for any day, and a day ticket is free for kids aged under under 10 years.
