Now in its 9th year the Cockermouth Rock Festival has announced The Cribs will headline the opening day, and pop rockers Kids in Glass Houses will headline the final day of 'CockRock'.

The festival which takes place takes place from Friday 20th until Sunday 22nd July at Wellington Farm, Cockermouth has also announced Gentleman's Dub Club, Dreadzone, Karl Phillips & The Midnight Ramblers, Young Kato, Jakarta Club, Falling Red, Highly Strung, Boomin, The iFoundation, Heavyball, Sidewinder, Kill For Eden, The Ambersons, Joan Ov Arc, Five and Dangerous, Presley Johnson, Edens Daughter, The Greeting Committee, Lem and the White Fire, New Bays, The Vertigos, Smiling Ivy, Mr Huw, Broken English, theLights, Thirteen Stars, AWOL, Beard of Wolves, Model Society, Heath:Ward, Joel Sarakula, Captain Dangerous, Sons of Icarus, Jack Trainer, Image of a Busker, and Alex Hulme.

The headline act for the middle day has still to be announced by organisers, as well as many more bands.

The festival is a non profit event set up to help raise money for two local causes, the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue and The Pride of Cumbria, as well as to encourage and promote local bands and musicians.

Tier 1 tickets are on sale. An adult weekend ticket is priced at £59, or £69 with camping. A young adult (aged 13-17) weekend ticket is priced at £45, or £50 with camping. Children aged 12 years and under and OAPs (Females - 60, Males - 65) can attend for free. An adult day ticket is priced at £50, or £30 for young adults.

New this year due to popular demand is Thursday Camping priced at £10, and Live in vehicle passes priced at £25.
