first wave of acts for Pontefract, West Yorkshire

The Enemy, and Grandmaster Flash lead the first acts announced for Crooked Ways the one day music festival happening in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

Also confirmed for the event which will feature renowned acts, as well as up and coming acts from around the UK are Peter Hook, The D.O.T., Mallory Knox, Dinosaur Pile Up, Rolo Tomassi, The Defiled, Gallops, and Sam Forrest. . These acts will play across four stages including the Crooked Ways Presents stage which will feature the best in local talent only from Yorkshire

Scott Ward, Crooked Ways Marketing Director, commented "The whole Crooked Ways clan are delighted to announce every single one of these acts. Even though 2012 was awesome, 2013 is measuring up to be even better. The best in UK talent alongside iconic names and international legends make up for what should be a great day! Outside of the music we'll have some amazing attractions for all people; lazy, active or downright stupid. And with more acts on their way, 2013 will hopefully be a tremendous year for Crooked Ways."

Now in it's second year Crooked Ways is an independent music festival, named in homage to an early 20th Century book which satirises life in Pontefract. The festival is expecting 14,000 visitors through its gates and will be held in Pontefract Park in the shadow of the town's famous racecourse on Saturday 1st June 2013.

No other acts have been announced. More names will be announced on Wednesday 27th March.
