Aztec Camera founder Roddy Frame has been confirmed as Saturday headliner of the Black Isle Brewery Grassroots Stage at the ninth edition of the Scottish Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

Roddy Frame
Festival promoter Joe Gibbs said, "We have been trying to book Roddy to the Bella bill for quite a few years now, so we are especially thrilled to be able to announce him. It is a neat follow-on from his great friend Edwyn Collins of Orange Juice who has also headlined the Black Isle Brewery Grassroots Stage at Bella."

Also added to the Belladrum bill are Glasgow extreme funk aficionados Federation of The Disco Pimp, and multilingual Edinburgh gypsy punksters Bobok.

Bella, which takes place on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August 2012 has sold out the last three years and in 2011 the festival sold out months before the event, and Gibbs has also warned that tickets are starting to run low across the board and urged regular Bella patrons to buy now to avoid disappointment as another sell-out looks possible. He added, "Traditionally, we issue a warning when our capacity hoves over the horizon into view, just so that our regular supporters aren't disappointed. The time has come to issue that."

They join headliners Travis, and The Wombats, plus Beverley Knight, Frightened Rabbit, The South, Foy Vance, Man Like Me (live), The Magnetic North, Buzzcocks, Vintage Trouble, Willy Mason, Lanterns On The Lake, We Are Scientists, Slow Club, Fink, Treacherous Orchestra, Juan Zelada, Ryan Keen, Bastille, To Kill A King, Nina Nesbitt, Rachel Sermanni, Mad Dog Mcrea, Dog Is Dead, Karima Francis, Rae Morris, Marc O'Reilly, Ellen and The Escapades, The Ballachulish Hellhounds, Hoodja, Make Sparks, Zombie Militia, Feis Rois, TMC Youth Fiddlers, Red Sky July, Bombskare, MacFloyd, Gerry Jablonski, The Little Mill Of Happiness, Niteworks, Grousebeater Sound System, Stanley Odd, Fatherson, The Dangleberries, James Mackenzie & the Aquascene, Ian McLaughlin & The Outsiders, The Whisky River Band, and The Red Kites.
