Orbital have been announced as Saturday night headliners for this year's The Secret Garden Party 2012.

Orbital
The duo, who will release their their first album in eight years 'Wonky' this two months today, will be making The Secret Garden Party one of only four festival appearances this summer.

The dates for this year are confirmed as Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd July 2012. Set in a 10 acre landscaped garden at Mill Hill Field, Huntingdon, in Cambridgeshire, and bordering a river and lake, The Secret Garden is a garden-party-gone-crazy. As well as music there's loads of activities for kids and adults alike, and it is more of a party experience. The festival has been granted a permanent licence with a capacity of up to 26,000 for each of the four days.

Early bird tickets have sold out. Tickets for the Secret Garden Party 2012 are now being sold on a tiered system. A set number of tickets will are sold in each tier, gradually increasing in price. Tier one and Tier two have already sold out so gardeners are encouraged to buy now at Tier Three Price. A dog pass is also free, and dogs must also have a ticket.

There is also a deposit scheme in operation. This allows a reserved ticket for a deposit of £50; the balance to be paid by 13 June 2012.

Ticket Prices:

An adult ticket is priced at £185
Teen Ticket (13 – 17 years): £130
Campervan: £60
Under 12's: £0
Family Camping Pass: £20

The festival is spread out over two sides of a lake with a large main stage area, 'The Great Stage' and then smaller tent venues dotted around, like 'Where the Wild Things Are', 'The Living Room', and 'Small World' which all have artistic décor. The happenings on the main stage side are generally more dancey and louder, and the other side has a more acoustic and chilled vibe.

This year the theme will be Arts & Expression as the festival celebrates its 10th Birthday, and uses that starting point to explore those ceremonies, rituals, initiations, anniversaries and carnivals that bind us together, that emphasize matter over mind, that emphasise our true gifts as humans: social existence.
