Blur's Alex James has issued a personal statement confirming that there are no plans next year for Alex James Presents Harvest held on his farm in Oxfordshire.

As a follow up to our story published last month (click here) about event organiser Big Wheel Promotions going into administration, and not paying their third party service suppliers.

James hosted one of two Harvest festivals on his farm back in September. The company which ran and sold tickets for both Harvest At Jimmy's (Ipswich, Suffolk) and Alex James Presents Harvest (Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire), went into administration.

The statement James released, says, "Contrary to some reports (what you may be being told) no licence to hold a festival at my farm in 2012 has been granted to anyone and no festival is currently being planned. The organisers of the festival held in September this year, Big Wheel, have left many people badly out of pocket and this is something I am not at all happy about. I made it a specific point in my dealings with Big Wheel that payment obligations to third party service suppliers were to be honoured (lest) or they lose the right to hold further festivals. They have not honoured those obligations and I have terminated their right to hold any further Festivals on my farm.

Yours faithfully,

Alex James
."

It's not yet confirmed yet what will happen to the other Harvest foodie festival slated to run over the weekend of Friday 7th until Sunday 9th September 2012 on 'TV star' farmer Jimmy Doherty's farm.
