The line-up has been announced for The Big Session which will be held at its new home at Catton Hall, Walton-on-Trent, South Derbyshire, from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June 2012.

On the opening night the festival will play host to organisers Oysterband, with Chumbawamba, and Chris Wood.

Saturday's line-up includes Pete Lawrence, Eddi Reader, Treacherous Orchestra, Martin Simpson Trio, Dizraeli and the Small Gods, Kris Drever, Jonny Kearney & Lucy Farrell, Will Pound & Dan Walsh, and Chris Tye. On Sunday the acts announced include Show of Hands, Roddy Woomble, Jon Boden & The Remnant Kings, State of the Union, Richard Warren, and Fay Hield & The Hurricane Party.

An adult ticket (aged 16+) is priced at £87 or £102 with camping, a child ticket for those aged 5-15 years are priced at £30. Children under 5 years old are free.

Concessionary tickets are available for over 60s, those receiving Job Seekers Allowance and Full Time Students. Please Note that proof of eligibility will be requested on entry to the Festival, these are priced at £75 or £90 with camping.

Day tickets are also available priced as follows:
Friday - Adult £30 Child (5 to 15) £10
Saturday or Sunday - Adult £37.50 Child (5 to 15) £15

The Big Session campsite opens at 9am on Friday 15 June 2012 with music and family events from mid afternoon. Festival goers are asked to be off of the site by 12noon on Monday 18th June 2012. A Weekend ticket covers the whole festival but camping is extra. A Day ticket is for a specific day with Friday being a bit less as the music starts a bit later.

The Big Session grew out of the spirit of after-hours music sessions between artists and festival goers and started in 2005 at De Montfort Hall, before taking to the road this year and hosting a day at Devon's Beautiful Days it returns as a full three day event next year.
