Bella has sold out the last three years and in 2011 the festival sold out months before the event so fans are urged to buy early to avoid disappointment.

"We have been astounded at the pace the tickets are selling for 2012," said festival promoter Joe Gibbs. "Perhaps it's the Indian summer temperatures we're having which is putting everyone in the mood for next August already!"

Problems with ticket scammers in the lead-up to the 2011 event has meant that the bulk of 2012 are being sold as e-tickets which are considerably more difficult to scam, with a limited number of hard tickets also available locally.

Tickets are now priced at £95 each (+ booking fee). Campervan/Caravan tickets are priced at £50, along with a new ticket for 2012 offering camper/caravans electrical hook-up, and child aged 12 years and under tickets are free (maximum 3 children per adult).

The independent festival has built a reputation for its eclectic line-ups, its offbeat non-musical entertainments and its all-ages approach.

Belladrum takes place in the picturesque surroundings of Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire, Scotland. Music comes from over 90 acts across five stages featuring locally and internationally renowned artists and favouring a lo-fi approach. Now in it's ninth year the festival will take place on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August 2012.

For those Bella fans who want to stay tuned in to what is happening at the Olympics on 3/4 August 2012, all BBC coverage will be shown in a specially designed venue at the festival.
