Big Chill announce another new stage

Today the line-up has been unveiled for The White Rabbit Lounge, a new stage at next month's The Big Chill Festival produced by former Meltdown and Ether man, Glenn Max.

The new stage will be exploring 70's psychedelia with a mixture of live performances, talks and DJ sets. The line-up for the new The White Rabbit Lounge starts on Thursday with Mixmaster Morris and Glenn Max's own band Last Man Standing.

On Friday the new stage will once again feature Mixmaster Morris alongside The Kool Aid Electric Company, Last Man Standing, New Zealander Connan Mockasin, A.J. Holmes, Sam Sallon, and Ilona Superstar.

Saturday's line-up features Furry Sounds, The Rayographs, Zun Zun Egui, Soft Hearted Scientists, The Koolaid Electric Company, Cosmic Slop DJs, and will be hosted by MC Howard Monk.

On Sunday 70's punk Robyn Hitchcock and the man responsible for London's original psychedelic ballroom UFO, Joe Boyd, present their project White Bicycles. Based on Boyd's book about music-making in the 60's Boyd provides the stories whilst Hitchock sings the songs. Also confirmed on the line-up are DJ Richard Olson, The Wolf People, Light of Aquarius (Ben Ayers DJ set), The See See, The Lucid Dream, The Wicked Whispers, Cosmic Slop DJs, The Junipers, and Robyn Hitchcock doing a DJ set.

Previously confirmed acts The Chemical Brothers, Kanye West, and Rodrigo Y Gabriela, top the line-up. The dates for The Big Chill 2011 are confirmed as from Thursday 4th until Sunday 7th August at the site which has four lakes, thick woods and an arboretum at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.

Tickets are priced at £165 per adult with a maximum of 4 tickets able to be bought per household, teen tickets (13 to 15 years old) are priced at £85, and kid (12 and under) tickets are priced at £5. Day tickets are priced at £75 for Friday, Saturday or Sunday, and two day tickets are also available.
