Also confirmed are Baltimore, Maryland's All Time Low, Canada's Sum 41 who release the most long-awaited new studio 'Screaming Bloody Murder' at the end of March.
Reforming in celebration of their 20 year anniversary, Irish Americans House of Pain will be bringing one of the most memorable songs in hip-hop history with 'Jump Around' alongside hits like 'Shamrocks & Shenanigans', and 'Top O' The Morning To Ta'.
Also joining the 2011 line up are melodic extreme metallers Arch Enemy, and 'Djent' metal exponents Periphery who revealed "To say that we are pumped to play Sonisphere in the UK is an understatement. Not only do we get to come back and play for some of the best fans anywhere, but we get to do it at the UK's premier summer music festival!"
Australian alternative-rockers Grinspoon, and prowrestler Chris Jericho and Mojo guitarist Rich War's project Fozzycomplete Sonisphere's latest new additions.
The Big 4 - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth & Anthrax headline Friday night, Biffy Clyro Saturday and Slipknot Sunday. Other acts confirmed are Limp Bizkit, The Sisters of Mercy, Kids in Glass Houses, Gallows, Diamond Head, Motorhead, Mastodon, In Flames, Parkway Drive, Volbeat, Gojira, InMe, and Protest The Hero, with many more acts still to be confirmed.

Sonisphere takes place at Knebworth House, Hertfordshire from Friday 8th until Sunday 11th July 2011.
The event has one main arena with a stage at either end of the site, as well as a few smaller stages. The two main outdoor stages, will have around a dozen acts alternating between one stage and another to keep the music continuous, whilst not having two acts playing at the same time.
