Fronting his 20-piece Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Jools Holland will be performing at the Liverpool Echo Arena on Friday 1st July 2011, as the opening act for the month long music festival that takes place throughout July 2011. The Pops offers not only the big names but also grass roots acts, with new home grown and international talent.

Chas Cole, promoter of the Summer Pops said, "Jools is the ultimate Summer Pops act, always a great family show. I love to watch his audience being truly entertained so it's fantastic to confirm this as one of the first Summer Pops 2011 events."

Jools Holland, OBE, has become a mainstay of the Summer Pops Festival, with crowds faithfully returning for an ever-promised evening of astounding musicianship and entertainment. Speaking of the festival Jools said, "I used to love playing the Summer Pops in the big tent on the waterfront. The arena is good too, but the tent holds very fond memories."

Special guests are Liverpool-based, female ensemble, Angels In White, who are opening for Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra on selected shows during his forthcoming Autumn tour.

Tickets for this show are on sale now, priced from £29.50. To buy tickets, click here.
