The Liverpool Summer Pops in a month long music festival that takes place throughout July, in 2008 the event moved a new venue the 10,000 seater Echo Arena in LiverpoolÂÂÂs Kings Dock. The event last happened in 2011.
The event was presented by The Liverpool Echo, and played host to acts such as Sir Elton John, Paul McCartney, The Who, James Brown, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Diana Ross, Jools Holland, Tom Jones, Girls Aloud, Bryan Ferry, Westlife, Alice Cooper, Julio Iglesias, Sugababes, ZZ Top, Eric Clapton, Pet Shop Boys, Van Morrison, Corinne Bailey Rae, Bryan Adams, OMD and Il Divo.
