Pixies are the latest addition for this year's Isle of Wight Festival.

Pixies
The American band fronted by Frank Black will be appearing on the Sunday at this year's Isle of Wight Festival with a UK festival exclusive performance. Formed in 1986, the Pixies influenced a whole generation of guitar bands and started 'grunge'.

John Giddings, the festival promoter, said, "It was hard to think of someone capable of complementing the musical talent of Neil Young but once I had the idea it was blindly obvious and it will surely be a legendary day on the Isle of Wight."

The Boston four piece will join the previously confirmed acts include The Prodigy who headline on Friday, Razorlight, and Steeophonics on Saturday, and Neil Young who headlines Sunday with Basement Jaxx, Pendulum, and The Ting Tings, all also confirmed for that day. Stereophonices and Razorlight co-headline the Saturday, while The Charlatans are to curate the Sunday of this year's Big Top, and will headline it on the same day.
