Laura Marling to headline Friday at Blissfields

plus The Men They Couldn't Hang, Mumford and Sons, and more

Laura Marling has been announced as the Friday night headliner for this year's three day Blissfields festival.

Laura Marling is joined on the line-up by folk punks The Men They Couldn't Hang, the hotly tipped Mumford & Sons, Gideon Conn who returns to the festival this year, also making a return is the live looping Subgiant, and energetic art rockers Thomas Tantrum.

The bill also sees live performances from Barefoot Confessor, Beans on Toast, Cherbourg, Echaskech, Hijera, Imperial Leisure, Rebel Control, Ryan O'Reilly, Scarlet Soho, The Ashbies, and The Ramblings, with more to be added soon, including headline Saturday headliner.

The first raft of DJ's has also been announced today and includes Ally Wolf and Big O, Bandangos, Benzo (Revive Live), Bloody Awful Poetry, Chess Club, Chix, Chukles, Frog DJs, Girls in Green Shoes, DJ Hojo Hits, Neverland DJs, DJ Kozmik Ken, Little Chief, Marcus Muktarsingh, MASS_IVE, Olly Salter (Revive Live), Steve Luke (Revive Live), Stran and Mike, and The Head Gardener (Secret Garden Party).

Blissfields dates are confirmed as Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July, and it will be back at Bradley Farm, Bradley, Alresford, Hampshire for around 1,000 festival goers.

Blissfields is an intimate festival for all the family in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. This is a festival for people who want something as far removed from the big commercial festivals as you can get! There will be quality food and beer on sale all at a reasonable price.

Music takes place across five stages: The main open air stage; The Bradley Bubble a Big Top Stage offering mixed entertainment including local acts, open mic and after hours fun; Tractor Disco Stage (DJs) – An open air carnival on a tractor trailer for all day frivolity; The Hidden Hedge - a secluded hideaway in the woods, with chilled atmosphere and secret appearances/performances; and The Campfire which offers acoustic, DIY, and other entertainment.

Tickets are priced at £41 for the weekend with camping, £25 for those aged 8-16 for the weekend with camping, there is no separate tariff for those not camping. Campervan tickets are priced at £20, and Thursday night camping available for an extra £7.50. Children aged under 8 are free. To buy tickets, click here.

The event is offering Thursday night extended camping, music and art workshops for adults and kids plus other assorted fun. There is an open mic session after the main stage closes on the Friday night. Plus tractor rides, pub price drinks with quality real ales and cider, food, craft, and festival stalls.

Blissfields supports awareness and fund raising for their chosen charity Practical Action. The festival has a green ethos, incorporating recycling, and awareness of environmental issues during the weekend.
