Blissfields is an intimate festival for all the family in the heart of the Hampshire countryside. This is a festival for people who want something as far removed from the big commercial festivals as you can get! There will be quality food and beer on sale all at a reasonable price.

Blissfields returns as a three day event for 2009. The dates are confirmed as Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July, and it will be back at Bradley Farm, Bradley, Alresford, Hampshire for around 1,000 festival goers.

Laura Marling has been announced as the Friday night headliner, and Supr Furry Animals the saturday headliner. Other confirmed acts include The Men They Couldn't Hang, Mumford & Sons, Gideon Conn, Subgiant, Thomas Tantrum, Barefoot Confessor, Beans on Toast, Cherbourg, Echaskech, Hijera, Imperial Leisure, Rebel Control, Ryan O'Reilly, Scarlet Soho, The Ashbies, and The Ramblings, with more to be added soon, including headline Saturday headliner.

The first raft of DJ's has also been announced and includes Ally Wolf and Big O, Bandangos, Benzo (Revive Live), Bloody Awful Poetry, Chess Club, Chix, Chukles, Frog DJs, Girls in Green Shoes, DJ Hojo Hits, Neverland DJs, DJ Kozmik Ken, Little Chief, Marcus Muktarsingh, MASS_IVE, Olly (Revive Live), Steve Moore (Revive Live), Stran and Mike, and The Head Gardener (Secret Garden Party).

Music takes place across five stages: The main open air stage; The Bradley Bubble a Big Top Stage offering mixed entertainment including local acts, open mic and after hours fun; Tractor Disco Stage (DJs) – An open air carnival on a tractor trailer for all day frivolity; The Hidden Hedge - a secluded hideaway in the woods, with chilled atmosphere and secret appearances/performances; and The Campfire which offers acoustic, DIY, and other entertainment.

Tickets were priced at £41 for the weekend with camping, £25 for those aged 8-16 for the weekend with camping, children aged under 8 are free, there was no separate tariff for those not camping. Campervan tickets are priced at £20. All the weekend options, and campervan tickets have sold out.

Thursday night camping available for an extra £7.50 (for those already with weekend camping tickets or Friday day tickets). A few day tickets are still available priced at £20 (from 5yrs) for Friday only.

The event is offering Thursday night extended camping, music and art workshops for adults and kids plus other assorted fun. Organised entertainment will be from 4pm Friday 3rd July until 1.30am Sunday 5th July. The campsite will be open from 4pm Thursday 2nd July until 6pm Sunday 5th July. The open mic session after the main stage closes on the Friday night will also make a return. Plus tractor rides, pub price drinks with quality real ales and cider, food, craft, and festival stalls.
This year's fancy dress theme will be 'Nations of the World', festival goers are asked to come dressed in the attire of their chosen nation: Kilts, Lederhosen, Sombreros, Grass skirts, Togas, etc. There will be an Ambassadors Party in The Bradley Bubble after the main stage closes on Saturday. This will be to welcome the winner of Blissfields' fun election campaign for the role of President of The United States of Bliss for the weekend.

Blissfields supports awareness and fund raising for their chosen charity Practical Action. The festival has a green ethos, incorporating recycling, and awareness of environmental issues during the weekend.

This year there is a coach direct from London to Bradley farm. Although the train to Basingstoke from London is quick and easy the last ten miles of your journey will not be so easy to complete! This service will leave London on Friday 3rd July and return in the afternoon Sunday 5th July.
