T in the Park is hoping to get its licence increased by 5,000, to increase the number of ticketholders to 85,000 each day, reports the Daily Record (here. They also hope that they will be able to allow entry to the site on Thursday 9th July.

With no acts confirmed, the festival has already sold tens of thousands of tickets for next year off the back of its strong reputation, and 5,000 extra ticket would help satisfy some of the over-subscribed the demand for the tickets available.

Thursday access is wanted to help ease any potential traffic problems, by helping spread arrivals at the Balado site over a longer timeframe.

Perth and Kinross Council will consider these requests tomorrow.

T in the Park will take place at Balado, Scotland on Friday 10th to Sunday 12th July. The first line-up announcements, with tickets going on sale again at the same time, are expected somewhen in the next few months.
