The Outsider also offers a wide range of outdoor activities both inside and outside the arena including the Run Rothimurchus series and The Rideouts, a mountain bike event in some of the most magnificent scenery in the Highlands. In addition to the music programme, expect movies, comedy, cabaret, and a full programme for kids.

With a strong environmental agenda The Outsider is a festival for people who care about the world and want to participate rather than just consume.

Early bird tickets are on sale, priced as follows: £35 Saturday, £35 Sunday, and £70 Weekend. Children's tickets (age 5-12) are priced at £10 for the day and £15 for the weekend. Camping tickets are priced at £85 for adults or £15 children, campervan passes are £10, and car parking passes £5.

Glenmore Lodge and many local activity providers will offer a range of both off-site and festival arena activities from wild life watching and gorge walking to Canadian canoeing on the Spey and rock climbing in locations around the national park. Many activities and shows will be included in the ticket price, some will require pre-booking and some are offered at a special festival rate.

The Outsider campsite will be adjacent to the arena and will offer both quiet camping and boutique camping (details of which will be announced later). A drop-off arrangement will be offered to families. But parking is adjacent and only minutes away (though festival-goers may elect to park in Aviemore, a 20-minute walk or 5-minute shuttle bus away). The campsite will be open from 12 noon on Friday 19th to 12 noon on Monday 22nd June.
