around 400,000 Glastonbury registrations made

now fingers crossed for those tickets

By Neil Greenway | Published:

The opportunity to register to be able to try to buy Glastonbury Festival tickets closed at midnight last night, with just under 400,000 registrations having been made.

Subject to the licence application being approved by the council, there's in theory around a 35% chance of each registrant getting a ticket. The reality is likely to be significantly better than that, due to there having been some rejected applications due to dodgy photos, a number of duplicate registrations, some people deciding not to try for tickets (perhaps because they've bought tickets for others festivals), and of course those that can't get out of bed on ticket-sales day. The tickets will go on sale at 9am on Sunday 1st April.

Glastonbury Festival will take place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June (with the gates opening on the Wednesday).
