The first band has self-confirmed on their website their appearance Glastonbury Festival - happening at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th June (with the gates opening on the Wednesday).

Best known for (the awful) Tubthumping, there's an awful lot more to Chumbawamba than that. eFestivals recommends those in the dark check out the superb 'Anarchy', tho nowadays they lean towards a more folky sound, having permanently abandoned the full-on electric band for a cut-down acoustic version. According to their website, they're to appear on the Avalon Stage on the Friday.

In other news, the ticket price has been confirmed by organiser Michael Eavis to BBC Somerset as £145 + £5 'administration fee', and that it's hoped that 137,500 tickets will be available to buy, subject to the licence permitting those numbers. It's likely that the licence hearing will take place before the end of January, tho dates have still to be confirmed.

Rumours of who might play continue to grow, with Emily Eavis having told BBC Somerset that she likes The View and that she's "sure they'll be on the bill somewhere" - as she's talking about the John Peel Stage at the time, that seems the most likely.

As we get them, eFestivals will bring you the very best Glastonbury rumours. Help us to help you - if you hear of a band that's playing, please let us know.
