Monsters of Rock - which takes place at Milton Keynes Bowl on Saturday 3rd June - have announced a fifth act.

Queensrÿche have a new album ‘Operation Mindcrime II’ - a follow-up to 1988’s three million selling breakthrough concept ‘Operation Mindcrime’ - released on 10th April. Commenting on why the band chose to return to ‘Operation Mindcrime’ again now, singer Geoff Tate says that ‘Considering where we are in our society today and how little things have changed since the late 1980’s, it was too ironic not to continue the story. We’ve entered this brave new world where everything feels the same, but it is really worse.’

The line-up for the day is now Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Journey, Thunder, Queensrÿche, and Ted Nugent, with one more act still to be added. Doors are expected to open at 11.30am.

Tickets are priced at £38.50 - click here to buy.
