Oysterband are to hold their first ever signature festival - The Big Session - at Leicester's De Montfort Hall and Gardens next June.

To be held from Friday 17th until Sunday 19th June, the festival will of course feature Oysterband, as well as guests from the roots and folk music worlds. Acts already confirmed include Eddi Reader (Friday headliner), Eliza Carthy Band, Show of Hands and Martin Simpson with further names still to be announced.

The two stages (Indoor and Marquee) will include an electric as well as informal acoustic music. The festival will close on Sunday afternoon with a ceildih set. Camping is free, and they'll be a real ale bar.

A full weekend ticket (inc camping) costs £35, with tickets booked before 1st March available at a special price of £30. Tickets go on sale on Monday 13th December.
