high fashion Glastonbury - a designer's inspiration

...and more

By Neil Greenway | Published:

According to an Associated Press report (here), fashion designer John Galliano has based his 2005 spring-summer ready to wear designs on what young women look like after a few days at Glastonbury Festival.

The designs apparently include marijuana-leaf designs and lava lamp-like shapes on loud colours, as well as flowers, and more flowers.

Does this mean that they'll be crowds of fashion victims at the gates next June in Pilton, throwing their cash at any willing female for the clothes off their back? Only time will tell....

In other news, there's an interview with Mean Fiddler boss Vince Power (in a Telegraph article here), which took place since the share sale and acquisition shenanigans of the last ten days or so (see here for more info).

Anyway, the article confirms that Melvin Benn has been re-instated as MF's Festivals Director, and so this should presumably mean that there won't be any effect from all this onto Glastonbury Festival, where Melvin has an important role.
