Jean Michel Jarre was interviewed on BBC Breakfast this morning, and said he's to play at Glastonbury Festival next summer.
He said similar in an interview a few weeks back, but it was poo-poo'd by the Festival, who made noises about it being too early to be booking acts for next year .... but now it looks like that was said to try to put people off the scent.
Jarre was one of the pioneers of electronic music. He's probably as well known nowadays for the extravagant lights and fireworks that accompany his shows, as much as for his music (which sales-wise probably peaked in the '70s) ... anyhow, expect lots of pretty things to watch - some might say that without them you'd fall asleep.
will JMJ out-do Macca's fireworks?
