Glastonbury applies for 2003 licence

exclusive!

By Neil Greenway | Published:

It's been exclusively confirmed to us that Glastonbury has now applied for a licence for a Festival in 2003.

Providing the licence is granted, the Festival will take place as usual on the last weekend of June - 27th to the 29th.

Following the success of the various measures implemented this year to stop those without tickets entering, alongside the fact that there was a noticed lack of the little bit extra that Glastonbury normally gives entertainment-wise, it's good news that the licence application is for a total attendance of 150,000 - 10,000 extra above this year.

It's thought that most - if not all - of the extra tickets will be allocated to staff, entertainers, etc.

It's known that the biggest crowd this year for any act was for Aussie legend Rolf Harris, at the ridiculously early midday Sunday slot ... if he can drag that many people onto their feet to see him after partying through Saturday night, he surely deserves a near headline spot for any future appearance.
