Last Friday (14th June) we published on this page a story that the Stereophonics had confirmed on their own website that they would be playing Glastonbury.
This was an error by myself - I stupidly mistook a fan site with a very similar URL as the Stereophonics own website. eFestivals would like to apologise for this mistake, and for any inconvenience caused.
So, the situation is that Stereophonics are only rumoured to be playing - something their spokesperson denied to NME (issue dated 18th May) when he stated they were "definitely not" playing.
In three summers of operating this website I think this is the first mistake of this kind we've made. I hope that we don't repeat this mistake.
