is Glastonbury getting Lazy?

no, not like that ...

(update: 1st May 2002: we've now heard from an extremely well connected source that David Byrne is not appearing in any capacity at Glastonbury this year. Damn!)

Man of the moment (last/this century, surely? – ed) David Byrne* has just announced just two dates, both of which are in the UK, for the 2nd and 3rd of July. (since this was written 8 hours ago, a further set of dates have come to light - but the 30th June IS free. One of the other dates is for the "Out There..." Festival in Bracknell on 6th July)

This had led to extremely strong speculation that he's to re-appear at Glastonbury Festival, hopefully with better luck than his rain-plagued headline performance on the Jazzworld Stage in 1997.

Radio 1 have also said that X-Press 2 will be there, which has us wondering whether he'll also perform with them, to sing their monster hit "Lazy".

*When questioned in our survey, 1 out of 1 eFestivals editors expressed an extreme preference for anything David Byrne. :-)
