I thought Neil Young's rendition of A Day In The Life with the opening line ''I read the news today, oh boy'' was quite poignant!

Oh and the sausage & mash in a yorkshire pudding. Such an epic idea and such a epic dinner.

I had the most amazing nachos from up near the Park Stage. I was so full!

My first Glasto, didn't really know what to expect! The 'other' areas (Shangri-La, the crafting areas etc) were all amazing and just so different to anything I'd seen at a festival anywhere ever.
The people, I found, were just so friendly! Everyone was in the festival spirit and chatting away, really really nice vibe I felt.
The music was alright, too! I'm still in awe at seeing Neil Young, I never thought it would happen but it did.
Meeting Damon Albarn was cool, too!

I saw that guy! It wasn't Johnny Depp, surely..

Sorry if this kind of Neil Young based thread has been done already, but wow what a set. He was so grim and hardcore, the songs had so much power and awesome.
I was lucky enough to be in the Press Pit for the first two songs, which was totally out of this world

Metallica or a Roger Waters / Gilmour / Nick Mason thing would be incredible.

Ooh that means the chicks are free too.

I'm really interested in doing one of these meets...but nervous at the same time! I take it everyone doesn't shuffle about looking at the floor not saying anything, but instead runs at each other with open arms?!

Leaving tomorrow morning, 6am.
My heart is racing.
Got so much to do at work first though!
-
I love that Stelling and Kamara have a race horse named UNBELIEVABLE JEFF.

I'm going to be wearing shorts whatever the weather!

I was doing some double checks on the car at work and found a huge oil leak.

Wednesday evening, could be as late as 10pm depending on traffic.

I've been to V, Reading and Download in the past but from reading posts on this site (stories about hidden tea rooms and magical dragons in lakes) it seems to me that Glastonbury is just on a totally different level
I've been told it's big but I think I've totally under-estimated the scope of the festival and now I'm worried about missing out of all these secret treasures!

Leaving Hertforshire after work..probably get there about 10pm, put up and tent and then I dunno! I might go and do my best to get lost for a laugh.
-
C'mon Metallica..
-
First one so I'm REALLY nervous, even though I've done festivals already.
I dunno what it is that's making me nervous though! At least you have excuses like public transport and stuff.
