  1. 1994 world cup, found one small bar that had a normal TV to watch the Ireland Mexico game, quite a crowd in watching, a lot far from TV

Team in green scores, loads of cheering, someone at the front turns around and shouts IRELAND ARE IN WHITE

I was a Worthy Winner as well (technically my wife, but I nominated her)

Still can't really believe it, and very worried it was some sort of scam but it all seams legit.

I wondered if anyone else had won a competition before and knows how to buy a car park pass, please?

I won with last years Co-Op cheese. Couple of days after confirming I wanted the tickets they asked for reg numbers.

Week or so later I got the see tickets email saying confirming the tickets

My reg was then ok to buy car parking.

Email your reg numbers to competition owner

I do believe that if you look up the definition of "ordeal" in the Oxford dictionary, it says: 2007

It was more than an ordeal, it was atrocious and did not end, getting home on trains added to it, half the south of england was under water and trains diverted everywhere.

Swore I would never go again and went to FIB fest Benicassim 2008 and 2009, which had hurricane force winds and sandstorms, half of one campsite tents ended up on railway tracks.

2010 I was back to Glastonbury prepared for anything it could throw at me.

Good weather more important than good line up anytime

  4. The cheese is not over yet !!!!!!!!!!!! Just got this

    Hi Ian,

Congratulations, you have won a pair of tickets to Glastonbury Festival 2024 as you purchased a block of Worthy Farm Reserve Cheddar and scanned your Co-op membership card between 6-28th November 2023.

There is a separate section for jokes and stupid stuff

  6. Tried with no luck for a ticket for this year, looked at hospitality etc options but could not justify the price

After the way I felt watching it all on TV this year I can justify any option and I am planning for it as a last resort

Never seen beans on toast but I can live on it

Might still be able to pick up a hospitality ticket but expect to pay the best part of a grand.

Even if you have the money to pay for one, where/who can you buy them from ?

I can't find anything that appears legit ?

One of the issues, again IMO, was the increased amount of cocaine use.

I also noticed a relatively large number of what the youth call "road men" (or so I'm told). These are young men who were bucket hats and bum bags diagonally across their chests. Their thing seems to be based on having a generally bad attitude,

This completely, and not only at Glastonbury, cocaine is creating vast amounts of idiots in every aspect of society/life in general

In my previous experience on these forums it usually takes much longer than  24hrs before the "oh shit, what have we done" penny drops

Give it a week and the ''booked coach tickets but can't get the coach'' will be back

  10. I think (hope) the secret resales will return this year.

How many people will have stupid departure points they got due to panic ?

When they get payment link and have had time to think of travelling miles and hotel etc may be some who change their mind

Love all these stories, my mum always always talks about watching The Cure in 86 during the Thunderstorm. Barefoot, toes in the mud. She used to be fun once upon a time, if you met her now you'd wonder how on earth she was ever a glasto go-er! 🤣

I'm yet to experience a muddy glasto. Dare I say it but...it kind of appeals to me for some weird reason...just for the experience and to have my own story of perseverance afterwards! 🤣

Muddy ? Don't be daft, rain provides the mud, you don't want it, it can go from the most heavenly place in the world to be the last place you want to be.

After 2007 I thought I would never be back and missed a few years

No ticket for myself yet and even if I don't manage to get one, I would never wish for bad weather there on anyone

  12. Not working, it happens from time to time.

Thought is that it allows some reg numbers through for certain people they allow to get tickets. Friends/family at face value ? Who knows ?

I had to try in hope so thank you

  13. Over the years I've realised I really prefer to be mostly alone, base camp for the group so occasionally see each other, or if I go off with group can easily drift away if I want. Some people need other people. I don't

One thing I will never do again is spend 5 days in the company of 1 other person I only saw once a year
