We had no problems getting alcohol into the arena last year. Vodka in a water bottle looks like water, we put a can in one of our friends hoods and didnt get stopped and we also ingeniously used a pringles tube! HAha! No one seemed to bat an eyelid!
-
yes easily!!! decathalon do hikers bags, holds two litres, rammed down my top to look like huge boobs, with a long tube comin from it which i fed down ma sleeve....vodka and cranberry! will be doin it again this year!

Anyone have any tips on how to smuggle booze into the arena without getting caught?!

The airport is quite a while out from the city centre, but at the airport there is a free mini shuttle runner monorail thing linking the airport and 'Birmingham International' train station. If you get this shuttle to the train station, then catch a train from International to Birmingham New Street (Which will take 10mins or so). Birmingham New Street is right in the City Centre
In regards to getting to the fest from Brum...Its going to take you 1 hour and a half..without traffic...so with traffic, and it will be chokka....its going to take alot longer
-
It must have had a serious impact on their wallets, but having said that maybe that effectwill trickle down to us giving us a cheaper festival experience although this is very much doubtful!!!
-
I know, i still can't believe it...Lemar, Will Young, Natalie Imbruglia?! Still..the headliners make up for it though

I'm not sure if there are any coaches going from Birmingham to V fest, but i know for a fact there are coaches going from Wolverhampton to the fest.
Wolverhampton is a 20 minute train ride from Birmingham, or you can get the bus to Wolverhampton from Birmingham, which takes about an hour

So far the following acts are rumoured to have self confirmed to play V:

Wouldnt sleeping in your car be easier then setting up a tent, then un packing it just for a day? and warmer!
-
Not wanting to get into a 'which football fans have it harder' debate but as lifelong Newcastle United fan, I think being a barcode trumps anything you guys can put up with... its grim up on the north east until the season ends - then we can hire another manager and speculate how we might actually win something.
