Would anyone recommend worthy view? How far a walk from the main festival site?

how bad is it if your tent is right at the back?

    how many showers

is there straighteners and hairdryers? What’s the queue etc like?

We’ve used WV for last few years and camped in general camping before that. There’s a separate car park for WV which means no queueing and no walking for miles with all your kit. It makes a massive difference.

Bloody hell what a nightmare.  There's always horror stories like this but that doesn't help at all!  Has he got it in writing from the Post Office what has happened?  Just so he can prove to SeeTickets/Glastonbury what's happened and it's no fault of his own and that they weren't signed for/delivered to him?

It seems that the postman has signed for delivery himself and put in the letterbox of the wrong house and tickets can’t be retrieved as the owner is dead.

Totally the postman/post office fault so now waiting for a post office report or letter and see what see tickets can do. My guess is they tell my mate to turn up at a gate/office when we arrive at the festival to plead his case.

    He’s a little stressed

  3. I’ve got my ticket but a mate is having a nightmare. Postie delivered to number 107 instead of 7 and he has been trying to retrieve the ticket but the guy at 107 has sadly died!
Seetickets are being no help apparently. Anybody had any similar ticket delivery disasters?

For me, it’s that moment perhaps 3 or 4 minutes before 9am, when it’s time to focus and start early refreshes. eFestivals is minimised and the screen is set up (ticket window(s), document with all the info readily available, etc.).

You’re then looking straight down the barrel of Glastonbury fate. Nervous but focussed glances at the clock, then it begins. Soon after 9am, the initial voices start to nag - this isn’t going to happen - but you persevere. Keep on keeping on. F5, F5, F5.

Until, eventually, you’re through. Palms sweaty, you move at speed hoping against hope you have all details correct and enter them accurately. First screen done, you’re at the second and this is it. You’re one click away from next year’s festival. Please don’t let it sell out between now and when you press submit.

Second screen submitted and you’ve done it! The relief, the elation. That anxious wait for the confirmation email. That realisation you’re now available to help others and tickets are still out there.

It’s the most nerve shredding hour of the year.

    Absolutely spot on.

  5. Make use of the stages before the acts begin to get some shade if it's getting a bit much. Lots in Silver Hayes to pick from. Worked well in 2010

  6. We are looking at Wednesday and Thursday, the days when everyone can sit, drink and take it all in being roasting. Then Friday, Saturday, Sunday when you need to wiz between stages being a bit cooler but still pleasant.

This sounds like perfect festival weather! It's all too good to be true. It can't be real.

For anyone who doesn't remember or didn't see what we were faced with at this time last year...

I still wake up screaming with the memory of this

At this stage it looks like for the weds and thurs of the festival (at least) we'll be wondering around freely and able to sit on the lush worthy farm grass.

If there's one thing which was missing for me last year it was the ability to just plonk down and watch the world go by on those first couple of days.

It's always a great sight seeing everyone around the various bars sat with their groups of friends chilling & have a great time.

    Spot on.

  9. Cider for the day, spiced dark rum for the night. Plus some extras.

Will not be taking red wine this year as I sat drinking it like pop at the Other stage in the pouring rain on Sunday last year and I was a drunken slurring mess by 2pm.
