  1. Not seen too many but have seen the man himself - Mr Eavis wandering around, sat next to Phil Jupitas whilst he supped a pint at the old Leftfield area, Bez, Macy Gray (eating an icecream), John McEnroe and last but not least - Dot Cotton in the New Bands tent whilst watching Longview some time ago.

  2. It's just a bit of fun mate, not really wanting to get into political debate here about it. The only people mentioning miners and wars are the people who have taken offence at mentioning thatcher. Oddly no one has pitched in to defend simon cowell.

  3. Pitch tent.

Inflate self-inflating mattress that no longer self-inflates

Throw sleeping bag on top of said mattress

Tip entire remaining contents of rucksack into tent in a random fashion

    Open up camping chair

Sit on camping chair, enjoy aperitif (or two) of canned G&T.

Bimble to Jazzworld. Eat Pieminister. Drink Strawberry Brothers (or two)

Bimble to Stone Circle and beyond.

  4. Let me explain:

Woo-woo consists of one part vodka one part peach schnapps two parts cranberry juice, I know on the face of it that does not sound that good, however I promise you it is much greater than the sum of its parts. It is lovely long drink that has a kick. I bring it on site ready mixed in 5 litres bottles (20 litres this year), we gave 5 litres to our friends who gravely underestimated the power of what on the face of it seems like a refreshing Pimms type drink, one of them was later found asleep under an ice cream van.

Turbo woo-woo consists of one part vodka one part peach schnapps one part cranberry juice, and is of course much stronger and tastes it. I carry about 500ml around with me at all times, in case I need a quick "sharpener", especially useful if there is a long queue for the bar. I gave my mate a bottle on the Thursday with the words: "you want some fruit shoot?" he gladly chugged about a quarter of it before he released what he had done :)

  5. Whilst I seem to recall on two people of name dying whilst we were at the festival - MJ and Richard Whiteley, it would be nice...see biggest f**king party on the planet...if a certain Baroness popped off this mortal coil during festivities. I reckon Eavis would open the gates then.

  6. Over the last two days, I've bought -

    Fold down water carrier (poundland)

Bag of nescafe instant coffee milk one sugar powders

    Double sleeping bag (argos)

    Self inflating mattress (argos)

Fold down trolley (argos) - on sale... Dunno how good it will be but we shall see...

    Mess tin/enamel cup (poundland)

Drawstring bag (poundland) - told the bf who said "Oh, just what you need... more bags" ;) Although it's true that I'll prob use my Guardian festi one instead...

Couple of vest tops for £6 at Tescos due to amazing heat we'll be having... :D

  7. Saw Rolf 2 yrs ago for the first time at West Holts and it was packed! Then again last year at Pyramid and it was packed!

He's a legend, a massive crowd pleaser and everyone genuinely goes mad for him! Also he really loves it, appreciates that it's Glastonbury and he's very very good at what he does :)

That said, if he played this year, I'd catch it on iPlayer when I return... Love him and think he should be there every year especially for people who've never seen him :D

  8. Well we got Bjorn Again in 2009, which was great fun first thing on a vaguely showery Friday morning. : ) Would absolutely love the real thing though! What is it about ABBA songs that instantly put people (or at least me) in a great mood? B)

  9. Was online from 9am with 5 tabs running simultaneously. Finally got in the queue around 10:30, kept getting thrown out and put back in, eventually got to details page around 11. Booked 8 tickets and then was able to book another straight afterwards (for a johnny come lately : ) I think once you get through once, easier to get through again. All due to constant refreshes of deposit page! : ) Cheers for the advice!

  10. Everyone is really organised! I'll have a go... usually wait til I get my programme on the Wednesday, but I know this year a few I really want to see...

    Friday -

    Frank Turner - Queens head

    possibly Willie Nelson - Pyramid

    Breakestra - West Holts

Probably Nouvelle Vague - West Holts or Florence and the Machine - Other

    Saturday -

    Scissor Sisters - Pyramid

    Possibly Muse - Pyramid (obv!)

    Sunday -

Adrian Edmonson and the Bad Shepherds - Avalon

Quick stop at Slash - Pyramid

    Dr John - West Holts

Staff Benda Bilili - West Holts

Alabama 3 or Faithless - Glade or Pyramid

MY MUST SEE - Stevie Wonder!!!!! Pyramid

Not a lot for Saturday really.... Idea of Lightning Seeds playing 3 Lions is pretty amazing, but don't wanna watch a set just waiting for it, esp if they haven't been playing it recently...

  11. But they played last year and lots of people saw them last year. It isnt fair on those that didnt want to see KoL last year and dont want to see them this year. It isnt fair on those that did see them last year and want something new.

If you want to see an act headline every time they bring out a new song. Then go to one of their gigs!

  12. The rant was cos in Katster's signature is a quote from this random sean maguire! Och well... <_<

And I agree, there is much love and peace at Glastonbury!
