  1. This is the headliner I'm a bit meh about. Not a huge fan but have seen them a couple of times and they're pretty good live. I could be easily swayed to another stage if there's owt decent on (like Dreadzone last year who were stupendously good)

  2. Tickets sold out way too quick this year.

Looking at eBay, I'm beginning to see why - fucking ticket touts have nabbed a load of them and are selling them for more than £200 a shot.

I really wanted to go this year but I most likely won't be able to because of these people buying up all the remaining tickets so they can make a killing by holding us over a barrel.

Fine, my gloves are off and now I'm going to hit back because I'm fucking sick of them and I'm really fucked off. I'm going to make it my business to find out exactly who they are and post their details here and on the BH facebook page:

Have a great time at BH, Sam, now that we know who you are and what you look like you selfish, money grabbing little maggot.

... and if any other touts are reading this, you're next.

  3. Very very overcrowded, found the soundsystems a little lacking once you steppedslightly away from standing between the speakers.

Queued from 3pm, was in by 5.30pm & there were still a huge amount of people behind us in the Q.

Bars and toilets impossible to get anywhere near so we bailed out at 7pm, went back to the hotel and saved ourselves for Love Saves the Night - when we had a fantastic night in The Big Chill Bar.

Bristol is a lovely place to visit, the people were very friendly. Would definately go again, but not for Love Saves the Day.

  4. i said i hoped they would as well, you've got a 50 50 chance of it happening, i know that james and vintage trouble clash on the sunday, that leaves only fri or sat for tribes to headline the calling out. It states on the KC official site they will be headlining, just checked the tribes official site and theyre listed as playing on 28th july which is sat night.

according to efestivals line up, maximo are headlining sat night, according to the kendal press release dizzee rascals headlining sat night ! im sure it'll become clear but it looks as though they will be playing when dizzee's on

    good news !

  5. Indeed, you are right. I am not a big enough festival goer to have known something as specific as that, and for that reason my comment re: 'losing its way' was ill informed. I did get miffed that I was directly criticised though - my opinions have been re: Latitude, not other readers.

My frustration comes from the fact that I have been twice before, and have been blown away by the bands there each time. This time, I have to admit, I don't know 90% of the acts, including some of the main stage bands - Richard Hawley, Janelle Monae......? The Comedy Tent looks better this year - but the tent is way too small.

And, I bought the tickets before the line up was announced.

So rather than pout and moan, I am on a mission to find out which bands to look out for. Already a fan of White Lies, Metronomy and The Horrors but tips for things to watch out for gratefully recieved. Ta.

if you want some beautiful music to chase away the last bit of last night's hangover go and watch Richard Hawley. His music is food for the soul. His album Coles Corner is a good starting block if you want a listen before you go....

Am sooooo jealous he's not on at a festival I'm going to :-(
