  1. Just seen this on the official forum -

"From a FB thread answering the question when will all be revealed: 'next Monday all will be revealed... there's around 40 acts TBA'"

Forty?! Got to be a couple of gems in that, surely.

Might be significant it's announced after Latitude? Plenty I'd nab from there (Twilight Sad, Ezra Furman, Nadine Shah, Wolf Alice)

    Roll on Monday!

Hoping that Latitude has changed their mind on their cruel exclusivity over Warpaint. Summer Camp, Leon Bridges, Wolf Alice would also be nice.

  2. So, what does everyone want to see? My list after some research, which is still ongoing:
    St. Vincent
    Emmy the Great
    Slowdive
    GOAT
    Owen Pallett
    Father John Misty
    Dan Deacon

    Hannah Lou Clark

    Charles Bradley
    Television
    Courtney Barnett

    Vök
    The Antlers

    The Fall
    Public Service Broadcasting
    Mew

    If time permits:
    Hot Chip
    The Staves
    Sun Ra Arkestra
    Sylvan Esso
    Waxahatchee
    Viet Cong
    Natalie Prass
    Marika Hackman
    Atomic Bomb!
    Landshapes
    Temples
    Zun Zun Egui
    Jane Weaver
    Black Yaya
    Meic Stevens

  3. well, the 2 times we got to the front (for Jarvis Cocker & Flaming Lips), we just.......walked up after the act before finished. So.......not that early at all. :)

Interesting. Good to know. Here, being up front for St. Vincent is something people are very hardcore about and arrive a few acts early at festivals or queue for hours at regular shows.

  4. Just bought my ticket in case things don't work out with a press pass. If I do get press, will it be easy enough to get rid of my ticket? I imagine so since it's almost sold out.

The official website is sold out of adult tickets now. Apparently there are a hundred or so on Ticketmaster as of this morning.

  5. I wonder where and when Emmy the Great will play. Seems she was on the mountain stage early in 2009.

Edit: Alasdair Roberts, Natalie Prass, and Zun Zun Egui on Friday. Hooton Tennis Club, Vok on Saturday. Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve, All We Are, and Black Yaya on Sunday.

An event page on Facebook for The 2 Bears has them on Friday, but that seems a bit odd since they share member(s) with Hot Chip. Double duty on the same day and all.

  6. My favorite discovery so far is Hannah Lou Clark. According to twitter, she will be on the Walled Garden Stage on Saturday.

Edit: Back on the subject of when artists are playing, it looks like Dan Deacon is on Thursday. According to his Facebook cover photo, he has shows in other countries on the 21st-23rd. Saw him at Desert Daze earlier this month and it was a great, bizarre dance party and intense acid trip.

Edit: Son Lux is playing Sunday. White Fence and The Drink on Saturday. The Leisure Society on Friday.

  7. tickets look likely to be sold out by monday

Seriously? Shit. Trying to get a media/photo pass, but I won't know if that happens until later.

Would get one to be on the safe side, but my tax refund hasn't shown up yet.

How hard is it to get tickets in the secondary market?

  8. It's far, but Emmy the Great never plays here and we don't have anything quite like this, either. There are a couple boutique festivals with great lineups in the states now like Levitation (Austin Psych) and Desert Daze, but the ones across the Atlantic will always be the best. I came out for Glastonbury in 2009 and 2010, so it'll be nice to go to something and some place different.

  9. Another great announcement, Slowdive and Emmy The Great are the main events for me, very pleased with both of those. I think my brother will love seeing Public Service Broadcasting, I've never seen Television live so that's exciting, everybody's going mental about this Natalie Prass album so I'll have to give that a listen. The 2 Bears are always great fun, and Marika Hackman has been growing on me a lot recently. Time for me to start down my journey of getting into the Super Furry Animals! Really, there's too many good acts, it's not fair on the other festivals.

You know what's up. Green Man wasn't on my radar, but then I saw yesterday that Emmy the Great was playing, and that St. Vincent was headlining. Now I'm trying to find a reasonably priced flight from Los Angeles to come out for this.

Lots of great names, and the location looks beautiful. I hear it's only 20,000 people, is that true? So what's the crowd like compared to other fests?

So glad that St. Vincent is headlining because she deserves it, and nothing can really follow the kind of show she puts on. When I saw her at Sasquatch, I was too out of my mind awestruck after her set to even try to get within proper range of Jack White or stick around for The Roots.
