  1. Yay, our Love Fields Car Park tickets, and Blue Route stickers arrived yesterday ! Wristband/ticket collection is at reception 🙂

Nasty, offensive  option to some I know, but it was our only option this year to get tickets and due to family ill health this may be our last year for a while, so a price we had to pay 😕

  2. Yeh weve got Hospitality too, its just, not the same. No anticipation, no worry, and no delight at their arrival. Will just have to get excited when our promised Blue route sticker, and Hospitality Car Park pass arrive  🙂

  3. Considering how wet it was when I drove up the A303 through Podimore at 5am this morning, the view from the camera is nowhere near as bad as I imagined it would be !

Other stage roof going up - why can I only see 5 towers?

The sound desk tent seems to have a taller section behind it?

2 on each side , 1 at the back !

Yeah, switch your lodging so it's along the A37 somewhere. If you go south of Glastonbury, you'll have an easier time turning left into the site.

yup Ive done similar, Im staying in Wincanton the night so I can cut up and across onto the A37 and then onto the Blue route in 🙂 theres not a lot of options to the immediate South of the site, but there are a few decent hotels in the Wincanton area which isnt far across to the A37 using the country roads 🙂

    Great idea for a thread.

I’ll be trying to make my way to the Tangerine Fields car park on Wednesday morning driving from Coxley.

Google Maps throws up three options:

    image.thumb.png.3c029b00f04583c42f333a4c6620554b.png

    image.thumb.png.9ab0da6d4c7cd7235abe790ed001a81e.png

    image.thumb.png.ab1dbb2b590be9c05e2f798df6a3a97d.png

Are they all much of a muchness or is there a particularly busy stretch I’m best avoiding?

Are you heading to the Tangerine Fields  Burrow or Base Camp ??

Number 2 doesn't look an option either way if I'm reading your map right, and thats Lower Westholme road youre using !

These are a couple of the regular road closures around there for the festival !

    • Lower Westholme Road Southbound between Northtown Road and Watery Lane.
    • Lower Westholme Road both ways between A361 and Tanyard Lane.

Tbf this forum is probably wrong demographic for people seeing her …. As are the festivals average age though . Hope it pays off

well you say that, I've just done a snap shot of the youngsters in our office, and exactly 1 out of the 10 "younger" members of staff said they would go and watch Sza. So im baffled who her demographic are... To me she sounds like an ideal afternoon lazing around chillout but not something anyone wants to actually dash off and watch for some banging tracks !

I'm gonna be honest I'm well aware that everyone stamps this talk out.

But as time goes by I'm starting to think KOL are the Saturday night headliner.

Debate all you want if their still big enough.  But for me I now think Dua is Friday and KOL instead of Coldplay or Stevie

Feel free to challenge me on this (I know you will)

And for the record I probably would not watch either...  so it's not that the act I'd rather see wishful thinking thing.

Always questioned the Stevie logic myself, its the one piece that didn't sit right for me. So I could see Dua, KOL, and Coldplay

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, reliable sources may get unreliable information. Things change, deals fall through and I’d even go as far as to suggest wrong information gets leaked intentionally.

    Dua - Coldplay - Madge.

yes of course they do. As far as I'm concerned my contact could have been trying to throw me off the Stevie scent, but that certainly wasn't the impression they left me with  😄

A couple of weeks ago, that was exactly the understanding on this thread - Dua Friday, Coldplay Saturday, Madonna Sunday.

Since then, multiple and fairly credible sources have said that Madonna is out (was supposed to be doing Glasto alongside BST, this does not seem forthcoming, she has nothing scheduled past April, and nothing to suggest that she's adapting her arena show for stadiums/festivals); and Stevie Wonder is in for both BST and Glastonbury.  But, that Stevie is doing Glasto Friday and BST Sunday, which has caused a rejig of the days for everybody else.

As for the "2 female headliners" thing - I agree with others who say that this was an aspiration more than a commitment; and also let's remember that the Sunday legend "counts" as a headliner in a lot of what Emily says publicly.

yes this is fully understandable if Stevie is a correct shout , but there seems to be a lot of making things fit around Stevie, on the basis of him being at BST. My conversation this week appeared to revolve around the alternative still being a female artist !

A friend who knows someone who works for Dua Lipa's record label told me she's Friday night. We shall see..

This would sit with what Id heard this week, Dua on Friday, with Coldplay on the Saturday, and another female artist on the Sunday, although no name was forthcoming 😄    This is in at least part of why I'm skeptical of the Stevie thing. Not sure how much reliability I can give the source mind other than to see they are very much in touch with things.

  12. Is there any reason the speculation has backed away from Emily`s previous 2 female headliner statement ??   Ariana Grande is up there with the big streamers and been mooted in the past ? Is there a reason she isnt being considered ?

From what I heard you didn’t need any passes to walk into Emily’s garden this year !! When a couple of security were on and they had no idea what passes were needed for access and required some help for a bit

this is true, we accidentally went the wrong way one night in our stupour, and had fun taking photos with various tractors before popping in after said guards sent us the wrong way when we realised our error and wanted a quick way back 😄
