Tesco are selling "festival trollies" for £18. Should be able to fit 3/4 slabs of beer/cider onto that.
I don't carry drink or anything anymore but when I did I managed to get a foldable wheelbarrow exactly like the one below from B&Q. It was ideal, it literally weighs next to nothing and is a lot easier to push than a trolley. Plus you can fold it down and stick it in your tent for safe keeping! My dad used it last year and after 5 years of the walk of death it's still going strong.

Yip like the others have said, someone who really wants rid of a ticket and still has it on the Wednesday night will be desperate to shift it and you will get it for a cracking price.
Wouldn't bother buying off ticketmaster that late and paying full price, but if you did I'm sure you just collect from the box office which is just down from the campsite entrance.

It's already been done on here too.

Went up the loft yesterday and found a Lichfield Apache 4 Person Tent up there, brought it down and opened it up and it's in perfect condition. That saves me a bit of money from having to buy a tent and it looks a fair size just for me. Result!!

Just wondering if anyone has made up a spotify playlist for this years festival yet?
-
Never been, however it says on the Citylink website that they drop you right at the entrance, does this make the "walk of death" a lot less bareable I'd imagine?
I'm bringing a pop up tent and a chair so carrying the stuff will be pretty brutal I'd imagine haha.

Can anyone go into citizen t? I've applied but heard nothing back.

Get some of columbias finest and don't go to sleep..happy days

The magic cure used to be "Resolve" saches. Tesco and Boots used to sell them, if you can get your hands on them then I strongly advised it!
Nobody believes me with this one but I swear by it and it works a treat most weekends for me.....A banana milkshake. Get a yazoo banana milkshake into you and you will be back on it in no time!!

Is T in the Park's reputation for anti-social behaviour unwarranted?

We always camp in Blue so don't really see other campsites until we are set up and go a stoat, but last year judging by the fact blue and Yellow were empty then I take it they aren't open on the Thursday.
Like I said, not sure about any of the others though.

Hah, good stuff!
Shame there isnt a planned camp area, used to be done every year on here, would sort out a bunch of us going on their own

Hey, have a wee look down the forum, I'm sure there was 2 girls who are traveling from America and were looking to meet folk there. Might be good to get in touch with them and that way there's a few of you straight away.
Wouldn't worry too much though, you'll be very welcomed when you get there and I'm sure your tent neighbours will take you under their wings.
Have fun!

how long is the walk roughly again? Its been a while since I was last at T

I've seen the term "walk of death" banded around a few times.
Someone fancy explaining this....
-
Yip, just as above, don't set your sights on a specific place and just go with the flow.
About 5 years ago we all wanted to camp in white as that's where we camped the year before, turns out it was full and we couldn't get camped. We ended up camping in Blue and haven't moved since. We love it!

in all honesty most end up back at the campsite after the arena closes unless people go to the sunset strip. from what i have seen people tend to make their own entertainment as parties usually go on well into the night.
personally im of the age where a full day on the drink until 11-12 is enough for me as 4 days in a row is usually suffice. i always overdo it on the thursday night and wake up hungover friday morning and spend friday lunchtime drinking to gear up for the arena. nothing better than being slightly half cut and watching live music

One of the big plus sides of it moving there is the fact Gleneagles train station just had a few million spent on it so that will make it a bit easier for certain folk to get to the festival next year.
Not seen any pictures of the new site yet. Be interesting to see what it's like next year though.
-
Few will stay open until 2am in the sunset strip.
After that it's a case of making your own entertainment back in the campsite.

Pete's Paedo Juice (PPJ). As many werthers original as you can dissolve in a bottle of vodka. You'll need to put it in a 2l plastic juice bottle first. It tastes just like the sweeties but sticks you on your arse quick style.

I'm sure it's more a free for all kind of thing on the way home tbh. They are likely to be more strict on the way there but on the way home a few of my mates who've used it before said they just jumped on any one going back the way.

Read a topic on the Glastonbury forum about people making up varieties of alcoholic drinks themselves e.g. Toffee vodka, jellybaby vodka, pear drop vodka etc.
Just wondering if anyone on here has a wee secret recipe they want to share or we all just standard vodka, beer, cider, wine and rum drinkers?

Been said that it's no more than 30 mins from Glasgow, but what part of Glasgow, that's the big question!
Stirling looks the favourite though.
-
Yeah if the papers are correct (and that's a big if) it looks like the press are being taken to the new location for a press conference tomorrow and they have been told it's less than 30 minutes from Glasgow.
Seems a bit daft to deflect all the headlines from the upcoming festival in 2 weeks to discuss where it will be held next year though.
Best way to take bevvy along the walk of death?
