Just out of interest, see the hot showers, phone charging and clean flushing toilets that's mentioned, are they within the pink moon area?
Started doubting myself thinking that their website was just listening general facilities in the whole campsite, rather than just pink moon!
-
I sent them a private message on Facebook and the person said it would be £20 from the PUDO point to the campsite entrance.
They couldn't quote me a price from campsite entrance to the area you want to camp in though. Said they would find out from the team who would be onsite for the festival and get back to me. But they haven't so far.

Is the bus station for all coaches the closest to pink moon?
Yip. Looking at the map it looks like the bus station is right next to one of the campsite entrances, and from there pink moon is just up to the right hand side.

Aren't you supposed to register small coaches/larger minibuses with them and you would then be able to use the bus station?
other wise, I understand what they are trying to do, but that walk is a killer.
You were yes, but again unfortunately for us 16 seater coaches weren't valid to apply and aren't granted access to the coach park.
Yeah it's going to be a killer. Back to the good old days of the "walk of death" from Balado.

This is also the route we were planning on using now simply because we are all camping in Pink Moon and its closest to that camp site entrance.
But TITP being TITP have told us because we are being dropped off in a 16 seater mini bus then we aren't allowed to use the official bus park and we can't use the car park for a drop off point (we were even willing to pay the price of a day parking pass). So now we have to use the official PUDO which is a 45min walk from the entrance....and that entrance is over the completely other side of the campsite!

Going to my first T in the Park since 2010 and have a question.
We'll be leaving after the final acts on the sunday night. Is there anywhere in the campsite like a left luggage stall where I can ditch my bags while we go through to the arena? (I can't find any info on this on the TITP site). Cheers
In my past experiences I've never saw something like this. My mates have either had to load up their cars in the morning or have had to carry their stuff around the arena.
There is locker facilities, but the lockers are tiny and really only for storing mobile phones, cameras, wallets etc.

Has anyone used the Jolly Green Sherpas service before and how much did it cost?
Wasn't even considering it, but just contacted TITP and have just discovered that because we are getting dropped off in a 16 seater mini bus we aren't allowed access to the bus park, therefore need to use the PUDO. (Which they have claimed is at least half hour walk from entrance). Then to add to that, we are staying in Pink Moon so then need to walk the full length of the campsite!
I thought the "walk of death" from Balado was behind me!

Hayfever tablets
Sounds obvious but......Your ticket!!
I always take a cheap pillow for some comfort at night
An extra hoodie/onesie for sitting at the tent after all the acts have finished. (It gets absolutely freezing at night)
Baby wipes
Rehydration sachets

I've been doing tangerine fields for last 4 years. I much prefer it tbh so I'm hoping this lives up to the same standards. I'm intrigued about the bar they told me was happening.
Yeah I'm also intrigued with that. Hope it is a full sized bar with music etc.
-
Well after 7 years "slumming" it in the campsite I've decided to bite the bullet and give this a try this year.
Heard good things about Tangerine fields so hopefully this is the same.
-
Clear sign of desperation but I'm not complaining, I took full advantage of this offer!
-
Chemical Brothers and Deadmau5 would be a perfect start for me.
im excited as always before the line up, but let's see how I feel this time tomorrow.
-
I had decided that this year would finally be the year that I would give tangerine fields a try...so obviously they got rid of it.
-
Too many amazing memories and acts over the years but one that stands out was The Killers in 07.
Think it was made more special as it was my first ever T, but what a performance that was. Even Flowers has said it was one of his best!
-
You'd be naive to think there isn't a back up should it go wrong and that DF are just sitting twiddling their thumbs waiting on a final decision in May.
The festival will go ahead
-
There is no way that T won't go ahead this year at the new site. Money talks louder than wildlife and I'm sure some brown envelopes will be passed the necessary people if it comes to it.
Ironically, when the STAG people were questioned if the leader was actually from Strathallen, they refused to answer.

Not sure if you still needed help but done it anyway

Going to see Carl cox at Ayr racecourse in September,he's doing a old skool set cani wait.

1. Calvin Harris
2. Arctic Monkeys
Didn't see Biffy so obviously can't rate them.
Calvin Harris - Brilliant! Saw him 3 or 4 times now and that was up there with the best. I do think though the fact I was with about 10 of my mates this time just jumping about and loving life definitely added to how good he was. Nobody can argue that the guy is a hit making machine and everything he touches at the moment turns to gold.
Arctic Monkeys - Was really looking forward to seeing them because I had fell away from them a bit after the disaster of Humbug, but their AM album is excellent and got right back into them. Never been so disappointed though. I thought they were average at very best. Alex Turner just doesn't connect when it's a festival crowd unlike the likes of Brandon Flowers or even Ricky from Kaiser Chiefs.
-
I didn't even realise it was sold out. Gumtree is alright if you go collect the tickets in person.
-
Calvin had a huge crowd down to the fact he was up against shite on the other stages.
Sam Smith's crowd was absolutely enormous on Sunday.
-
Anyone spot the guy dancing with the orange suit and briefcase on top of the bins at the main stage just before Arctic Monkeys on the Sunday? Haha That was pretty funny, ended up with others up dancing with him.
-
On a lighter note, there was a guy walking around the campsite offering "free hugs for a tenner" What made it funny was the drunk girl walking past him who was trying to figure out how it was free if he was charging £10. I could just hear her having a discussion with her mate and she really wasn't understanding it at all.
Lying in my tent one night aswell and overheard a guy saying to his mate, "I'm shaking like a shitting giraffe" I was buckled at this for ages afterwards, mostly due to the fact I was then picturing a shitting giraffe.

What were the toilets like though? Are they useable or still better with a refresh band too?
i emailed them last night and they also mentioned there was no bar when they replied.
