  1. I worked on caravan confiscations once and if security found alcohol in glass bottles, we gave you a raffle ticket number and stored it. If you came back with a plastic bottle, you could decant it. Or just collect it at the end on the way home.

This was probably 10ish years ago, so I don't know if they still do this.

  2. Is there anything on the grapevine about Tash Sultana doing a slot on the Saturday? They are in the UK and have dates on Friday and Sunday, but free Saturday. It would be pretty sweet listening to those guitar solos in the sun!

I’m solo volunteering this year; second-time solo-volunteering, fourth time volunteering and 19th Glasto.

    3) think it’s been said already but dry clothes & shoes either in the car or stashed in a bag at the Ped Gate A Lock-Up (could even pop in snack & drink) - your tired potentially soggy self with thank you (speaking from experience) oh and use the lock ups/festival info desks!!

Wow, 19th! Veteran status that! I've never thought about keeping some clothes in there, just in case my tent floods, good idea. Thanks

  5. Alright, let's give this a go.... here's some questions to break the ice :)

    1) what are you looking forward to about going solo?

    2) where do you plan to be for headliner time on friday, Saturday and Sunday of Glastonbury?

    3) what one camping tip would you give to others?

feel free to add your own!

that's not a solo group tho is it steve? It's a big group of mates, and you're inviting people to have to fight their way thru the clique - and you were told your misleading posts weren't wanted here.

You also told me the whatsapp had been shut down.

I'm interested in a solo camping group, but am not keen on just passing my number over for a WhatsApp group personally to a group I don't know if I'll get on with and would rather build up some rapport here first. I get the impression that's how it's worked in previous years from your earlier posts, but these whatsapp groups have taken away momentum from here. Maybe that's just me though!

  7. Watched their preformance for MTV last night... anyone else see it?

They were incredible, and the crowd were enthusiastic and into it, and you could see the band got more into it. It seems Damon was definatly fighting an up hill battle at Glasto, and i think he pulled it off perfectly.

That being said, am i literally the only one who though Muse were really dull?

  8. I'm still not sure how I rate it yet. It's not really living up to the media bummage yet :P that's all.

If you haven't heard it yet and like to play the books - it's streaming on we7, which is legal (no software required either)

  9. Thom Yorke is bang on I think. Did one last year aswell on thursday afternoon in one of the dance tents. I wasn't there personally though. Also reckon Chemical Brothers are bang on. Where quality at Shangri La last year aswell.
  10. The second half of this album beats the first half.

Lemon World -> Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks is amazing.

Slow start on the first 4 i reckon. Such a good album though.

  11. Seems like this is the perfect thread for my annual post...

Thought I'd repost this as we get closer...my ode to the toilets...

With apologies to Mary Schmich and Baz Luhrman...

Ladies and gentlemen of the class of 2010. Take a crap.

  12. Hello everybody, I'm kind of new to these parts of the forum and would like to join your camp if poss as I'm going solo. It's my second time at Glasto, but first time as a ticket holder (last year I worked in campervan fields)

Same here. At Belladrum some 18 year old kid said they needed their sleep. That just set me off louder, especially as he shouted out of his tent "I will sort you out" without actually looking at me.
