Got my email this afternoon, early shifts which I asked for working in the circus/theatre team, better get some stilts
-
Got an email this morning. A few other people on the facebook page have had theirs as well - mostly pyramid and dance earlies as far as I can make out.
-
Sigh. got Pyramid field...inevitable I think...anyone else?
-
Not heard anything myself. This is also the first year I've requested a car parking pass. Any idea when these are sent out?
-
Anybody got anything confirming shifts yet, thought would have heard something by now?
-
Saw them play in the leftfield in 2011, they were on either before or after Carl Barat, really enjoyed it, would see them again
-
Another email from Fiona (well her system) to say that shifts are on their way!
Also that we'll be partying on Thursday and visited by Mr E too!
All told, I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
-
So who are you going to watch when the Scream set has finished?
-
Doesn't the fact that Primal Scream are playing again this year demonstrate exactly why people went to U2 instead?
-
to be fair U2 are for many people (myself included) a 'once in a lifetime' deal. I wouldn't pay to see them at their own gigs, and I only really know the greatest hits so saw them out of curiosity and the knowledge that at some point in the future I'd see Primal Scream.
Managed to see them at IOW last year and they were unreal. Expecting more of the same this year.
-
Reading the thread I can't believe people watched U2 over Primal Scream, the Radiohead followed by PS set was as good a double header you will get! People moaned about the rain, they were that good I didn't even notice it, cannot wait till PS into the Stones, will be a proper Glastonbury experience
-
Anyone know if the set will be shown live or will the stones say no to it?
-
Does anybody think that the stones will be shown live on the bbc, or will they just play a couple of songs?
-

Am working this year so can arrive on the Monday or Tuesday and not have a 4 hour wait to get in. Happy days!!

Saw him at a mini gig the other day, asked he was doing Glastonbury, he just nodded and said sshhhhh it's a secret, I assume park, jp or maybe even surprise leftfield headliner

has anybody worked before the festival Monday to the Thursday, on the Traders information teams?
-
Brilliant will try that, did you get the shift you wanted?
-
Good point, hopefully will here tomorrow
-
Should I be worried I haven't had the email asking me to put in my username and password, haven't worked before so I assume the people who have worked there before get 1st choice on shifts? May email Fiona to ask her?

What do people think are the chances of the following playing?:
The Maccabees
Tame Impala
The Horrors
Miles Kane
Friendly Fires
The Courteeners
Palma Violets

Has anyone had the sign on information yet? Got the first email, but then nothing after that.

Oh, and for anyone who is volunteering for the 1st time, when you get to the site, DON'T queue up with everyone else to get in. If you ask a steward where to go they may very well tell you to get in the queue, but DON'T. They are busy and clueless, so they just want to get rid of you so you become someone else's problem. You have to pick up your ticket and ID from a little booth, then you enter through a special staff entrance. No waiting around for us, baby :-)
